Hi everyone,

I need help to set up a stop and target strategy as follows: This is for a 3 lot trade:

Initial stop for 3 lot - 20 ticks
1st profit target - 5 ticks and move stop (of remaining 2) to 10 ticks
2nd profit target - 10 ticks and move stop to remaining lot to breakeven
3rd profit target - would be discretionary (that is the target would remain open, and I would exit manually)
Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Phil

hi
I am trying to implement what is defined below. However, after the first profit target is reached the stop loss of only one of the remaining lots is moved to -10 (not both lots, as is desired). However does one modify the stop loss for both remaining contracts to -10 but still have the profit target of only of the remaining two lots to +10.

thx
David

Hi David:

Thank you for your post.

Please setup your stop strategy using the following screen shot.

Your stop will now move to with 5 ticks in profit and will move again at 10 ticks in profit to your entry price (break even).

hi. yes the profit targets move correctly but the stop loss doesn't. they did before. but when i am left with two contracts I have two different stop losses for the two lots. one at -10 one at -20. I want them both at -10 after the first target is hit.

thx
David

Hi David:

Thank you for posting.

Please enter the same stop strategy for all profit targets and verify if all stop loss values move the same.

If this does not resolve, please let us know by sending a note to support @ ninjatrader dot com and reference this post. We can then further assist.

Best regards,
