Hello everyone,

this question is for anyone who can help me with this... anyone with the experience who can guide me will be great:

I have recently opened my account at IB and at the moment I went to create the connections in NT I noticed that there are extra ratio buttons to get HISTORICAL DATA from IB servers.... actually I have not yet access to real time data in IB (dont want to pay for the real time market fees if still not trading) because I am still working other areas of my trading therefore that is why I am asking... is it possible to get historical data from IB servers for any futures or stock???

If that is possible then I will obviously pay for the access immediately.

Also if this is not possible, does anyone know where can I find free historical end of day data for the futures? or anything close to free :)

Thank you very much for your help

OpenTick works great. Sign up for the exchanges you want and just opt for their delayed servers. Everything is free unless you want real-time data. For development purposes their delayed servers should suffice.
