Data Reload Does not complete

How long should it take to reload data?
I'm having probs with Index instruments, so reloading them. It is now Loading DJIA from yesterday to today. I've been waiting about 10 mins and can't tell if it's working.
If I abort, does that damage the data that was already in the system?

- aborting should not corrupt teh data you already have on your system
