Hello
I have just started running live with MB Trading. However at I assume around midnight GMT they do a Rollover during which the "Connection is Lost", I then get a message on screen saying, "Rollover completed trading resumed" but the connection remains lost. I then cannot reconnect without closing my Ninja Strategy which obviously negates the whole point of running a strategy??
I hope this is just a setting I have wrong, please help!!
Thanks,
Nigel.

Hello Nigel,
Unfortunately this is as expected. In order to re-connect to a MBTrading connection, NinjaTrader needs to be restarted. This is determined by the MBTrading API. Please see the forum thread below for the same issue.

NinjaTrader 7 has been improved in regards to running automated strategies across sessions.
http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/NT7/NinjaTrader7.html
Persistence between sessions
Strategies will now be maintained between NinjaTrader shutdown and restart. On restart, you can multi-select strategies in the Control Center Strategies grid and enable all strategies to run in a single click. You can disable, change parameters and re-enable a strategy. You can now also save a set of parameters as default. You no longer have to re-add strategies every time you restart NinjaTrader.
We released NinjaTrader 7 as a public beta yesterday. You can download it from the link below.

This is daft surely as it means that a Ninja Strategy is effectively useless?
I have just looked at version 7.0 and it has the following critical warning:-
"NinjaScript Strategies: Please DO NOT run automated NinjaScript strategies on a live account as doing so can result in live order prices not correctly amended to reflect the prices coded in the strategy."
How therefore can I use this to run a live trading strategy?

Yes, please do not run automated strategies on a live account at this time in NinjaTrader 7. Please note that it is still in beta phase.
Once we solved the issue, we will update you.

Unfortunately there is no workaround in version 6.5.
Please contact sales[at]ninjatrader[dot]com regarding your subscription.

Jason,
This is a reoccurring statement that MBTrading refutes profusely.
Unfortunately this is as expected. In order to re-connect to a MBTrading connection, NinjaTrader needs to be restarted. This is determined by the MBTrading API. Please see the forum thread below for the same issue.
Phil, one of the developers at MBTrading states that their API does not require this. I have commented on this many times. Can someone please contact MBTrading to clarify the issue, as this seems to affect many traders on a day to day basis.
thank you.

Last week I had been working with a customer on that issue. His MBT Navigator did loose connection and did not reconnect which forced him to shut down NT and restart.
The issue was resolved for him by:
- upgrading to NT7B13
- installing MBT Navigator as per our web site
If the issue then still would persist, I needed
- your trace file (could you please attach)
- timestamp on when MBT Navigator lost connection and did not reconnect
Thanks
