Hello
When I apply a custom strategy to my charts, I get the following error message:
"Failed to execute DB Job: Strategy Update Job". I never had this issue with B10.
I'm sorry to say that, but B11 has been a big step back for me (cf. Serialisation thread).
I have many more issues than with any previous Beta version so far.
Thanks

Hello laocoon,
Please check if the issue persists after the uninstall/re-install of .NET Framework.

Unfortunately the issue still persists....
Thanks

Can you please restart NinjaTrader and go to Tools-->Options-->Data-tab and click Repair DB.
Check if the error persists when applying the custom strategy.
Does the error occur when you apply the SampleMACrossOver strategy?

Please also try on B12 while removing 3rd party NinjaScript assemblies.

I'm on NT B12, I have no 3rd party NinjaScript assemblies and I just reset the DB.
Still getting the same error messages.....(3 times in a row for every strategy I apply)
And yes, the error also occurs when I apply the SampleMACrossOver strategy.

Thanks for feedback. We are working on it with priority as theses problems appear to be related to the RemoteSoft protector issue mentioned in the release mail.

i just experienced this error (never seen before) after making some changes to a strategy ...
i am on B12 ...
i closed ninja, restarted, closed my old chart (from workspace), opened new chart, reapplied strategy, and i did not get the error.
i was going to hit Repair DB as suggested above, but as my restart and new chart cleared up the issue, i didn't (yet) do that.
cheers,

DB repair likely makes no difference. There cause is related to the NS editor, please see post #6 here: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?p=154766#post154766

interesting ... so, just to clarify a going-forward "fix" for the interim:
- make changes to strat/indicator
- compile
- close ninja
- re-open ninja & reload charts/strats/etc
does that sound about right?

yes, apart from the fact that after having the editor opened you might get this problem as the strategies/indicators needed to be save as your workspaces would be saved.
