View Full Version : Jet oledb.4.0 not registered

I installed Ninja Trader with no problem, but when I click on it the Ninja Trader screen comes up and shows me what it's loading and when is gets to database I get the error message below. I checked and I have the Dll for OLEDB in the system32 folder and just to be on the safe side I went to Microsoft's webpage and tried to install OLEDB 4 again and it told me that I had the latest version already installed on my computer.





Unable to connect to database 'Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;User ID=Admin;Data Source=D:\Documents and Settings\JohnP\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\\NinjaTrader.mdb': ObjectSpace: Connection String is Invalid- The Microsoft. Jet.OLEDB.4.0 provider is not registered on the local machine.

Please ensure you have the following installed -

MS Jet Database Engine - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;239114

MS Data Access Components - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en

Yes both are installed.

There is something screwed up with your installation. Could you please post a screenshot of the error box you see? Thanks

I reinstalled it 3 times, same problem

I don't know how to send you a screen shot

Ok let's try something different:

Does the error message really hold the text "D:\Documents and Settings\JohnP\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\\NinjaTrader.mdb"
or rather
D:\Documents and Settings\JohnP\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\db\NinjaTrader.mdb?

I'm sorry, it says the following

D:\Documents and Settings\JohnP\My Documents\NinjaTrader 6\\db\NinjaTrader.mdb

I see. Weird...

Let's try this:
- uninstall NT6 again
- download our new installer and go from there: www.ninjatrader-support.com/ninjatrader/nt6/setup.exe

Reinstalled using the new setup, same problem.

Yes both are installed.

Did you check by trying to install from links Ray provided?

I uninstalled it, clicked on the link and installed it using that
