I have a fairly complex strategy that simply changes the look of candles and adds arrows and various items when certain indicators have done certain things. It look brilliant and is easy to read the market but the problem is that when I enter a trade according to what the strategy is showing me- manually- all is fine till I go to exit the trade and then it takes up to a minute to get me out and then the strategy resets.
I have only tried this with sim at this stage.
What might be the problem?
Thanks

Is this reproducible?

Yes- I have shut down and restarted and the same thing occurs with that strategy. It doesnt happen with other strategies though. And I have only done it in SIM at this stage. Could it be that the complexity of the strategy makes it lag?
Would it work better do you think if I divided the strategy into 3 neat separate strategies?

raycam,
I am not sure why a manual trade would lag up a strategy. Please ensure that it is not just the strategy code slowing down due to inefficiencies in the code by not trading when you normally would have and see how the strategy holds up.

Just an update!
I have been using the super dom to enter trades with a preset stop and profit target and have only found this problem with the "close" button.. that is my trade seizes up for a minute or so till the strategy disappears and by that time the price I wanted to exit is different!
But I have had success with dragging the stop or profit target to the price and exiting that way!
Why would it be that I can smoothlly exit a trade that way- as you would expect - and still have the strategy remainngi open on the charts and yet when I click close- it takes so long to close the trade and then the strategy is closed also?
I realise that there would be inefficiencies in the coding- because I have done it myself from the wizard, and I have many parameters to take into account... but that to me doesnt explain why simply draggin the stop limit on the super dom works so smoothly.
Thanks

raycam,
Please middle mouse click the close button if you don't want it to close NS strategies.
