Interactive Forced Data Loading

Dear NinjaTrader support forum,

I have a data feed connection with my IB client. When I establish the connection when a chart is opened(with sufficient data on it), the software(NT) tries to reload all data - causing a pacing violation - for each opened chart. This happens every time I connect to the IB connection. Can this forced data reloading be turned off somehow?

Please help my resolve this issue.

Thank you for your post.

You can edit this setting from within the IB account connection. Click Tools > Account Connections. Highlight the IB connection and click change. Hit Next on the wizard one time and then you can adjust the Historical Data section to "Disabled..."

And I have to re-enable it every time I want to obtain historical data? It would be much better if the download of historical data would occur if a chart is newly opened - not when connecting to the IB account with charts already open. May this be a feature request?

Yes, you would have to enable the option again if you want to download historical data. I will forward your request to our development team.
