I have been using Ninja with Zen Fire for several months and have been quite happy with the service. In the last few days I have noticed a problem however. Between 930 and 1100 am EDT the data feed for the indexes, especially ES, has frozen a few times for about a minute or so. I saw gaps in my charts thereafter. This has only happened during the high volume morning hours. Is this because of the servers getting overloaded? I thought maybe it was a problem on my side but I've been told that once the connection is in place (be it DSL or cable) the incoming data should be consistent no matter what internet speed I'm getting. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm on (reliable) cable and also on the Zen-Fire feed...I have not noticed a problem like you describe.

Please check with your broker if there are any reported issues.
We have not had any reports here.
Could be that you are having internet issues during these times.
Also make sure you are on NT6 since it uses upgrade Zen-Fire server farms.

Kekkis,
There was an issue today with Zen-Fire/CBOT which should now be resolved. This resulted in the YM being frozen. All should be solved now and you should be able to use the YM again. You might want to restart NinjaTrader before you select the YM again.

Can you try a reboot of your machine and then see if correct data is coming in.

Hi evensteven,
Thank you for your post.
You will need to contact a brokerage that provides the Zen-Fire datafeed as they do not offer a 'data-only' service.
The following brokers support the Zen-Fire datafeed:
AMP
Dorman Trading
King Commodities
Mirus Futures
Pheonix Futures
Rosenthal Collins (RCG)
Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
