The following problem was occurring before upgrading to NT 6.03 as well as after upgrading . Running Vista Business.
* Ninja will not launch from start menu
* will not launch double clicking the .exe in the bin file
* sometimes clicking the .exe in bin file multiple times repeatedly WILL eventually launch NT
Here's what has been done in attempts to correct this problem:
* uninstalled 6.02, cleared browser cache, reinstalled (repeated this multiple time)
* same with 6.03
Any suggestions?

What if you go "right click -> Open"?

Same result.
also, FYI, am logged in as an administrator, also have set it in XP-2 compatiability mode, all without success.

Sorry, then I'm out of ideas apart from brute-force suggestions like:
- uninstall NT
- uninstall .NET 2.0
- clear browser cache
- download .NET 2.0 again and install
- download NT again and install

If you have NT6R3 installed: Could you please PM me the zipped files in <my documents>/NinjaTrader6/traces (dierk AT ninjatrader DOT com). May be the trace files hold some valuable information...

I was having the same problem and tried re-installing to no avail, nor did opening as administrator work.
Then I changed the properties to run it as XP-SP2 and run as admin and then it finally launched.
And it seemed to work if I launch it directly from the app, the desktop icon still doesn't work.
So it launched twice and now it won't launch anymore, and I'm stuck. I launched it and obtained some historical information, then ran some backtesting and exited. That's all.

Never had this problem with NT 6.5
This one ( NT7 ) will show in the Task Manager Processes but it will not open in the desktop ? and it was working fine the first day Friday , Jan 14 !
What is wrong with this ? !

Please send your Log & Trace files for the date this occurred.
From the NinjaTrader Control Center go to Help > ‘Email to Support…’ and check the box by “Log & Trace file”
Please also make sure to include a reference to this forum thread.
