View Full Version : Execution Speed from Stop to Limit?

I currently trade the 150 Euro and I tend to place Stop orders above/below last bar.

An issue I encounter a lot is that I place the order on a Stop but by the time I place it it actually is trading at the price I put it. So I get an error message that a Stop order cannot be placed... hence missing the trade.

Is there a way so that when I place the Stop order and it happens to be trading at the price I want that NT will change it to a Limit since it is at the price I planned on entering?

Like I said this is just that my execution speed is not as fast.

Please advise

Hello Pedro,

Thank you for your post.

1.) No, unfortunately, there is no method with which to change your order type automatically based on price. I will, however, forward this on to my development team for further consideration.

2.) Using a stop limit order would not make a difference.

Thank you for your prompt reply Klyne....

Is it possible to eliminate the error message (not show it)? This would give me the opportunity to reenter the order faster than having to click on OK and reloading the order.....

I am guessing the answer will be no... but it does not hurt to ask...

I appreciate you forwading my recommendation to the development team

Thanks

PEDRO
