I'm using IB as my broker and I'm thinking about getting IQfeed for realtime and historic tickdata for some of the markets I trade. Will I still be able to use IB data for markets I don't subscribe to from IQfeed?
Thanks,
mpe

mpe, in case of a multiconnection setup data is always taken from the primary connected source -

You would unfortunately not be able to split this up per instrument / market category as IB and IQ both support the same categories, which means all data has to come from the primary connection to be able to use it. Of course you can connect to IB second and still use them for executing then.

Just to clarify this with another question:
I have zenfire as well as IB.
I would like to use my zenfire connection for my TF data feed. However, zenfire does not have data for Hang Seng index, so I would like to use IB for that.
Can I accomplish this by connecting first to zenfire and then second to IB?
From your previous response, if both connections provide the same instruments, then NT will always take the data feed from the first connection, is this correct?

Unfortunately correct, as both are futures type instruments. Thus you would need to have a third party feed supporting all futures data you need connected first to solve this.

Sorry, just to clarify again: are you saying that I cannot do what I wish in terms of trading TF and HSI, ie. I cannot use both my zenfire for the TF data and IB for my HSI data?

Yes, this is correct - you can't split this up.
