View Full Version : Woodies Pivots Not Displaying

Good Day,

I've got woodies pivots set up as an indicator. When I connect to forex via MB Trading the pivots display normally with no problems.

When I connect to yahoo, woodies pivots do not display at all. I can manually set the High, Low, and Open in the indicator settings yet they still do not display.

Can anyone confirm that this is the case for them when connecting to yahoo? Also is there a solution?

Would you let us know which bar interval you are attempting to plot pivots for?

I was unable to get woodies pivots to display on a daily chart, and this is the only information available with a yahoo connection.

Most likely the problem relates to pivots only displaying on an intraday time frame, and this is not supported with the yahoo connection. The solution is to use a provider that supplies historical minute data. You can check the complete list of our providers here:

I need them to show on a daily and they don't. Data is from PFG.

Hi jimtru2,

Are the daily bars themselves plotting in your chart?
Can you tell me which version of NinjaTrader you're using? (Help > About)

Yes the daily bars show. The version is something like 7.0.0.2. I'll get the exact version when I'm on that computer, but please see if you can use my guess until then.

The exact version I am using is version: 7.0.1000.2

Thanks for letting us know.

You would not be able to plot daily pivots on a daily interval. You can plot the daily pivots on an intraday chart, but not a higher time frame.

On a Daily chart, please try using the following settings:


PivotRangeType: Weekly or Monthly
PriorDayHLC: DailyBars

*Note that a Daily pivot wouldn't work on a daily chart since that is the data that it uses to calculate.

An an Intraday Chart, please try the following settings:


PivotRangeType: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly
PriorDayHLC: DailyBars
