I'm probably missing a setting rather than this being a bug.

I've set the data series on a chart to be OHLC type and also changed the colors from the default. If I then change the timeframe (but not the instrument) I sometimes lose all of my data series formatting. In other words the chart reverts back to candlesticks with default coloring.

This problem doesn't always occur. Sometimes the formatting holds when changing timeframes and sometimes it doesn't. Unfortunately this behaviour appears to be random.

Fat Canary,

Each Period Type has its own default settings. If you say change from Minutes to Ticks, you will switch the settings. If you stay within Minutes and just change from 1 to 5 you will not change anything like the candle stick colors.

To save settings for each period type, right click in the right hand side grid and select Save Default.

Hi Josh

Thanks for that. I guessed I'd probably missed something.

Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of this feature?

Fat Canary,

Some people use different chart styles depending on the period type. This allows for quickly creating charts based on the styles they want.
