View Full Version : NT freezes after splash

When I start NT 6.5.1000.14 it stops responding after the splash. I have tried the steps from this thread where others had similar problems: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?t=12918. I have closed all unnecessary workspaces etc. I'm using Vista 64 home premium and it's been working fine for months but all of a sudden NT stops responding when loading my charts. I would appreciate some help with this.

Hello mpe,
I suggest to ensure NinjaTrader does not load any charts or other windows at all upon start-up and check if the issue persists.

Go to (My) Documents-->NinjaTrader 6.5-->workspaces and transfer all files temporarily outside the folder. Check if you can start the software.

Thanks for the reply. When I remove the workspaces it works like a charm. I can connect ot IB and open new charts. But when I try starting it with an old workspace with 6 or 7 charts it stops responding. When I save one chart to the default workspace it works fine. Do you think I should rebuild my workspaces and that would work? I typically use about 20 charts including some "Final-Financial Algorithms" market profile charts which I suppose may require more resources than a bar chart.

Yes, I suggest to rebuild your workspace with less charts or indicators.
