Hello everyone,
Let me tell you about my trading style. I scalp stocks, scalp futures, day trade stocks and position trade stocks. I use a modified tape reading style for all my trades. I look for 2 or 3 chart patterns, verify them with the T&S and manage the trades accordingly. I use eSignal for charting, IB for brokerage, InteliScan for scanning and Ninja Trader for order entry, management and exit.
I also belong to 2 chat rooms and I use the reccomendation from these rooms too.
The chart patterns I use are the up triangle, down triangle,top doji and bottom doji. I use these patterns because they are the few remaining pattens that have worked after the past few years of decreasing trading volume which limits the follow through of most patterns. But now that more traders are returning and trading volume is increasing, the flags, JBE, DBI and other patterns will return as well. I've attached a small image of my chart patterns I use.
The time frames I use differ for the type of trade I am using. For scalps, I use the 1min, 5min and 15min charts.For day trades, I use the 5min, 15min and daily chart.For position trades, I use the daily and week charts.
