View Full Version : Error when attempting to cancel ES Futures Order

Hi,

I am attempting to cancel a LIMIT order i have sitting in the ES 1209 contract and it is giving me the following error message;

"THE RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS NOT AVAILABLE. AFFECTED ORDER: BUY 10 LIMIT@ 1094.75.

My brokers future desk is going to cancel the order at the exchange level as they are not able to cancel at their end either.

Can you please let me know what is the cause of this and what steps can be taken to prevent this.

Following up here.


All should be working again. Please reboot your machine and then restart NinjaTrader.


Let me know if you're able to get back up and running normally.

Hi - Ok thanks I am back up and running. Just to further my understanding are you able to give me a brief description of what happened? I'm not looking to point fingers I know hiccups happen I just want to understand it so I perhaps I can be better prepared next time.

For some reason a server on Zen-Fire's end needed to be restarted. During this time orders got rejected for a brief moment.
