Hi
I am unable to find the right combination to get ARCA quotes from IB into
a chart. I posted on the connectivity forum and was directed to his one
as using version 7 beta 4.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Lynn,
How have you set up these instruments in the Instrument Manager?

I set them up showing ARCA as the exchange and default is also
selected.
I was told that it should have found and set it up automatically
when symbol was typed in.
This is a very slow and cumbersome method of solving problems.

Lynn, I'm not sure I follow - tried this on latest beta 7.0.0.4 with TWS 898.4 and did not run into an issue accessing the Pro Shares on ARCA.
For example in my QLD setup I have checked the ARCA, Default, Ise and Island exchanges, currency of course USD and mapping for IB the QLD ticker.
Please recheck your symbol setup and let me know if you can get quotes and historical data with the above, even the IB demo would allow you to access 1 week now.

Please confirm you have the QLD setup as per my post #6 in this thread, then compare the data you get to your TWS - what exact issue remains? Thanks

Hi
I did manage to get a chart up once.
Then the program error message began to come up.
IB Connection Ninja Trader has reached an IB limitation for historical data
Historical market data service error message. Historical data request pacing violation.
????????????? not sure what is going on

Ok, this is quite a common occurence on the IB connection - to resolve please disconnect from IB and wait for about 10 mins for your data status to change, then reconnect and reload charts.
Note: I believe there's a historical data limit for intraday data from IB, about 4 weeks of data is accessible.

Sent the files from my 6.5 ninja trader, which displays an error message
each time i close ninja. Ninja 7.0 would not email for some reason
Hopefully, at some point in time, someone could take a look at my machine
and help solve some of these challenges
