View Full Version : TS Failed to initialize error

I am using TS 8.2 (3896). Every time I insert the strategy NTExternal feed into a chart I get an error message (Failed to initialize NtDirect). This problem persist after a clean install of both TS and NT. I also downloaded another NT installer thinking that the first one was corrupted but issue remains. Please help.

Hello:

Thank you for your post.

Let's try this...

Shutdown both NT and TS.

Then, go to C: > Program Files > NinjaTrader 6 > Bin folder and select the file NTdirect.dll and choose delete.

Restart both applications and attempt to receive data again.

Hello:

A couple of things...

1. Is this NT 6. Go to Help > About to verify.

2. Ensure that you have ATI enabled under the File menu within NinjaTrader.

Try again after enabling ATI, if the problem persists, I can send you the file as an attachment and give instructions on how to place in the NT folder.

Please send me an email to support at ninjatrader dot com if this action is needed since the file cannot be uploaded to the support forum.

I suggest starting from scratch:
- uninstall NT6 via control panel
- scan your harddrive for for any occurace of NTDirect.dll and delete it
- reinstall NT6
