I was attempting to compare a currancy chart from another vender (ACM) with my NT currancy chart (for $EURUSD) and discovered that the respective times were 6 hours different - that is, they each started their 'day' in different time zones, with NT being 6 hours ahead of ACM. What time zone are NT charts based on? and can I set that? and how?

Hi,

Thank you for your post.

The NinjaTrader charts are based on your computer clock.

What you can do is to change your 'Session Begins' and 'Session Ends' time of your charts. You can do this by right clicking in the Chart, select Properties and then change 'Session Begins' and 'Session Ends' and click OK.

Thanks,

I am sure I read that somewhere, but being new to NT and doing this stuff late at night... anyway thanks.

In every other charting program I've ever used it was possible to have the chart for each instrument be in synch with that instrument's time zone. I.E. if I'm on the west coast and it's 7:30am and the market is opening on the east coast, I fire up a chart of the ES and the time says 9:30. On a Ninja chart, it says 7:30 (my local time).

This is extremely frustrating if comparing/critiquing charts with people on other platforms. Will there be a fix for this?

Thanks!

I was attempting to adjust the session start and ending time to EST. I am two hours behind EST, so I was doing a 24 hour chart starting at 12:00am midnight to 12am midnight EST. To do this I would set my session start time to 10pm and end at 10pm. However, when I try to do this the chart is blank and wont accept it. Hmmmm. Is it because its a friday? 12am to 12 loads fine. What am I missing? Thanks.

Only NT 6.5 in beta supports time spans that cross a calendar day. You can download this version from our support forum.

Are you on NT6? You should be able to do that on NT6.5.

Are you on NT6? You should be able to do that on NT6.5.

Also on the daily chart there doesnt seem to be a session time option in the data series so how can i get the chart right if I live in asia for the US markets?
