Josh

further to this thread.. http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?t=21153

1. I opened a chart (no indicator or strats) in nt7b2 in my Replay workspace (copy pasted it from nt71b) ...it started as 16 oct

2. then connected to MR which opened with a data range from 7 oct to 19 oct....chart did not change from 16 oct

3. then change start date in MR to 14 oct....date of chart still 16 oct...see pic

note that prior to connecting to MR I have already connected to Zenfire and populated both YM and NQ for 90 days of 180 sec data

4. then clicked MT play....bid ask in charttrader updated but of course chart did not plot

5. then did Reload Historical....in chart....got blannk chart

6. then closed and opened new chart.....ran fine

7. added my cs....ran fine

so problem still exists in that charts, at my end, do not auto update to MR....must connect to MR first and then open the chart

issue seems to be related to Session Template of chart vs Session Template of data

I created a new session template for 930 to 930 am ......went through steps again and NT auto adjusts chart to MR time no problem

so having correct Session Template for instrument and recorded data seems critical

This is how it works. If you open a chart and its last date is for the 19th as you connect to MR, it will go back to the beginning of the MR. As you now disconnect from MR and back to live, the chart will go back to live.

If you have a chart opened before the last day and connected MR, disconnected MR, it would NOT revert back to the last date because the chart was never on the last date. Only charts that were on the most recent date prior to MR connection would revert back.

good to know...thanks

is that intended.....i.e. why would not all charts revert to MR dates

To clarify, all charts should revert to the MR date. Not all charts would revert back to the real-time date depending on what the chart was originally opened date wise as.
