The server currently is down. It will be up by tomorrow morning US time.

Ray, I am having a similar problem sunday night 8/11. None of the charts will display futures data that I am receiving from either IB or Open tick. I am getting time and sales trades posting, but charts are dead in the water on Fridays futures close. My charts are set for 12:00am to 12:00am as well. Exclude Weekend=False. I have reloaded histroical data, formatted data series etc, but no display of data from the Sunday night open on ES, NQ or YM

What does the "server" being up or down have to do with being able to chart futures data especially when I am displaying T&S in NT?

Would appreciate your suggestions here.

Hello:
Thank you for your post.
The server issue experienced by the other trader was for a different datafeed than IB or Open Tick.

I just tested my connection and was able to receive Sunday night chart data while connected to IB.

Please try the following and let us know if you can re-produce.

1. Click on your chart and choose Properties > Session begins/ends times and change to 12:00AM for both.
2. Right click on the chart and go to Templates > Save as default
3. Close the chart, disconnect from IB and reconnect.
4. Open a new chart, do you now receive the Sunday night data?

Best regards,

Drew

Thanks for the reply ryan. I did just try and open a new chart swince my properties were already the same as you suggested. Able to get data. However, why would the existing workspace charts freeze?

>> why would the existing workspace charts freeze?
What do you mean by freeze?
a) NT no longer responds to any event at all (e.g. you can not mouse click on the control center menu system)
b) charts stop updating, meaning you still could e.g. pull up the properties window but there is just no data coming in

Good question... the answer is b)charts stop updating, meaning you still could pull up the properties window but there is just no data coming in.

Except data is coming into NT time and sales

Hi Drew:

Thank you for your reply.

While connected, close this chart and open a brand new chart.
In the format data series window, check to make sure the 'Last Date' field is the current day.

Do you use Market Replay over the weekends?

If yes, this field changes and you must reset it back to the current day or open a brand new chart.

Otherwise, after the chart is open, if you still cannot receive data, go to Tools > Historical Data > Reload.

We will be conducting a Charting webinar today (its free!) at Noon Eastern time.

Please click on the link below if you would like to attend.

Ryan,

I moved a more complete explanation to a different thread initiated by deanldavis. I experienced another chart stops updating event with the ES this morning. Please look at that thread.

Drew
