Re Freezing up

I have had the experience for the last three trading days of the data for the Symbols YM, ZB & ZN freezing up while all other symbols were OK.

The only way I could overcome this problem is restarting the program, a little scary if I was actually trading realtime (and hadtrades in place)which I will be with STS in the very near future.

I am still trying to decide which platform to use and answers to a problem such as this are of extreme importance to me.

Any comment would be greatly appreciated.

This happened again last night (my time) with exactly the same symbols and the only cure was to exit the program and re enter.

These problems for the most part are data source related. I know that there are a few instances where ECBOT data sources stop via Patsystems. Unfortunately it is rare and we can't duplicate the problem on our end so we have not been able to track down the cause.

Rare does not fit my case as it has happened every trading day of last week.

If this were to continue in real time trading upon restarting the program would it recognise any open positions and if not what is the alternative?

I meant rare as in unique installations. Yes, NT will be initialized to all open positions and working orders.
