View Full Version : QM Data Issues

I am having problems getting live data for QM in Ninja. I am on a Trading technologies data feed and ever other symbol I have loaded works fine.
QM will pull up a chart with historical data, but no updates come thru. If I open a DOM its blank - same for time and sales.
I have already had remote assistance from my broker (Velocity) and they are stumped and said it has to be a software issue.
Please advise.

Hello enochbenjamin,
Thank you for your post.
This sounds like an issue with symbol mapping.
Unfortunately, my test account is in use this morning by another support team member.
With that said, I would like you to send a note to Support [AT] NinjaTrader [DOT] com with "ATTN: Kyle" in the subject line.
In the message, please include the following:
1.) A link to this forum thread.
2.) Credentials for the TT connection. Specifically, I would need the following:
“Orders” server
· Sender ID
· Target ID
· Password
· Host
· Port
“Price feed” server

Had the same problem . Check the instrument manager > go QM > edit >
check that only " Nymex " is checked for exchange , and then in Mapping make sure is says QM|1000|CME , no spaces , Large caps . Ninja get historical data from Nymex ,but get real time from CME . Delete previous entries in the left column before you do this ,then make the changes , close
instrument manager and replace QM in the left column . this worked for me.

Hi enochbenjamin,
Thank you for your reply.
For the symbol mapping, please take the following steps:
From the Control Center, click Tools > Instrument Manager.
In the instrument manager, select QM from the list on the right and click Edit.
In the instrument editor, navigate to the Misc tab and scroll all the way down.
Next to Trading Technologies, enter 'QM|1000|CME', then click OK.
Finally, remove and re-add the instrument to your default list using the procedure outlined here: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/AddRemoveFromList.html
Let me know if this does the trick for you.

Hi enochbenjamin,
Thank you for your reply.
Please change the exchange to Globex instead of Nymex, then remove the instrument from your default list and readd it.
Let me know if this does not do the trick for you.

already got it working with nymex - just needed to add CME to the mapping field.
