No trades and orders in IB

I use NT 6 and IB demo version 870.2
In can connect to IB and receive all the date, but when i place orders, nothing happens in IB, and no API screen appears either. Can somebody help me?

- make sure you go with the TWS standalone version
- not sure what you mean by API screen
- which instrument?

I do have the TWS standalone version, and i want to trade on the gloex, with an ES future. The api screen normally pops up in TWS, but now nothing happens.

well forget about the api screen. when i place buy or sell orders, they just don't appear in my IB TWS i use the demo version 870.2 and the free ninjatrader version.

does it have to do with :Global Simulation Mode , and can i turn it off?
