NinjaTrader itself is not a market data vendor. We rely on our connectivity partners to provide real-time and historical data. I suspect you are connected to a provider that does not provide historical data.
You can view a matrix of our providers and the level of data each offers.

Hello Ray,
Thanks for the reply.
I use Man Financial as Broker and it is through Patsystems. So is that mean i need to contact Man Financial to get the data feed ?
However, I can view few markets such as E-mini S&P on the simulation.
Also on one of the market "ZL Soybean Oil" i have the number is example: "36.40" and Ninja Trader Simulated Data feed show "2667.48" why there a BIG different between?
I also checked on CBOT website and they have the number are:
Soybean Oil 07Jul 33'31 0'27
Why the number are different ?
Thank you

Unfortunately Patsystems does not provide historical data. You would have to either subscribe to a service such as eSignal, DTNiQ, TrackData or you can use OpenTick which does provide a free historical data service.
If you use an additional service to provide historical data, please make sure you review the information on "connection order" in the following link.

The simualated data feed is an internally generated price feed. You have to set the "Sim feed start price" property in the Instrument Manager to set the value you want the simulated feed to start from.
