Hi,
I would like to find out if I can place a trade with a strategy attached to it and once the position is filled continue to manage the strategy on into the next trading day? Or can one only use strategies for day trades? I am hoping one can select a GTC order which would enable one to use strategies into multiple trading sessions. I know Globex accepts GTC order qualifiers. I swing trade the E-mini S&P and would like to use ATM strategies in swing trading.

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeffro:

Thank you for your post.

Yes, it is possible to swing trade the S & P emini contract using ATM strategies for your profit target and stop loss provided that you do not lose connection to your broker and your pc is not shutdown.

If either of those two items occur, you can still protect your open position by placing a bracketed limit order and stop order as an OCO order.

Also, if your broker is IB, there is a feature to order triggering outside of regular trading hours.

Best regards,

Ryan
