Is 16 minutes normal for a single instrument (TF) workspace (this is my only workspace, with 10 different timeframe chart) to load up upon connecting?
I connect at market open time every day and stay on until close, so my historical data is up to date.
There are several minute periods, when nothing happens: no "Loading Data..." window, nothing... It used to be a lotlot faster, I could load 3 instrument workspaces quicker like some months ago. What the cause can be?

I am in Europe, with a high end machine, 4M/1M cable net.
Zen-fire connection, Proactive via Dorman broker.

Hello Zapzap,

Thank you for your post.

What does your workspace consist of? (How many charts, of what type for example.)

Also, please use the following link for some performance tips: http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/PerformanceTips1.html

My windows:
T&S
Book
3 of pcs minute based charts
7 pcs of tick based charts mainly with some basic indicators.

Only the loading of the data is slow. I mean the loading itself is fast, the "Loading Data..." windows are up only for some secs, but it takes _minutes_, until they show up. And then again nothing for minutes, another quick load. This is how it goes for around 10 minutes.

Well, it seems these waitings disappeared after a DB repair...

Can these be correlated? What exactly this DB repair does?

Btw. RJStein: thanks for the quick answer!!

Great to hear that worked.

The db repair is actually a windows db repair process, so unfortunately I do not have an exact answer. It will state, "compacting" or "verifying exectutions" as it runs through the process.
