View Full Version : Yahoo - difficulty with adding non-US stocks

I can see charts for US stocks (IBM, GOOG) using Yahoo backfill, but I can not see any charts for non-US stocks e.g. for Yahoo symbols STAN.L and BDEV.L

I've tried every permutation I can think of LSE:STAN.L, STAN.L, selecting lse, Lse (why are there 2?) and Default as the exchange - but nothing shows on the chart.

The strange thing is that when I selected update splits and divis, it recognised 1 split for STAN.L, but nevertheless I can not bring up a chart for this symbol.

Please advise the exact symbol format required.

Edit:
Fixed by disconnecting from IB, and reconnecting. I don't know why this should make a difference as I though I'd requested Yahoo as the backfill source in the symbol mapping, not IB. So it appears to depend which data source is connected first. Hmm. I'll try adding Yahoo as the backup feed for IB then.
