Data Missing Using "range Bars" With Ib

Hello,

I trade currencies using "Ideal Pro feed" of Interactive Brokers. Put simply :

I connect and disconnet many times a day. My first connection of the day gives me all the data using "range bars" but there is missing data on my chart with the others re-connections. I mean that my data missing matches with my disconnection time.

For example, if I disconnect at am10:00 and I re-connect at am12:00, my chart gets 2 hours of data missing

Did I miss something with NT or TWS settings ?

Angel, this is unfortunately expected as the IB connection does not offer tick data backfill which is needed as source data for Range bars -

Thanks very much for your quick reply.

I know that NinjaTrader Converts Real-Time Data into Historical Data so if I well understand, I have to let my connection open all day for getting tick data of the current day..................or find a market data supplier which provides the same forex data as IB : may be eSignal ?

Angel, you're correct - either collect it or connect first to a data supplier that can provide the needed historical tick data for you to backfill the charts.
