View Full Version : Slppe/Angle of indicator
I would like to calculate the slope on an indicator for example Linear Regression line or MACD fast line. I'm an ensign user and we have a function to do this there, is there a methodwhich let you calculate this value in NT?
Thanks.

Sorry no. You might want to take a look a the LinReg indicator implementation and code something along these lines.

A Slope() method will be available in the next update.

Just curious when the next update will be available? Thanks.

NinjaTrader_Ray, could you help us add (code) a slope to your Linear Regression overlay Indicator. I'm not programmer so I need help. I would like to be able to adjust the slope based on the average close of the last few bars, say 3 or 5 or even 10 or more bars back. Then display this slope number in the right side margin so its easy to see.
If its not to hard maybe you could show us how it could be added to a sma and a ema indicator as well.
Thanks

Sorry, you only could achieve that on coding a custom indicator using the Slope() method provided. In case you need support on coding a NinjaScript indicator you consider contacting a NinjaTrader consultant: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/partners_onlinetrading_education.htm
