View Full Version : New Install - IB refuses connection

I get the message "Login failed: IB.Adapter.MessageLoop No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"
Ive downloaded the Ninja trader mentioned here: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?t=10338
There is no option to downgrade to that version named.
The latest version of Ninja Trader downloaded from website also gives this error.

This fixed the problem
2.) Make sure you are using TWS 892, if not upgrade from this page: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/su...ivebrokers.htm

Hello Matt,
Thank you for your post.
Please remove, repair and recreate your connection with the steps I have provided below.
Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections--> highlight the connection--> click Remove
Then go to the Tools menu--> select Options--> select the Misc tab--> click Repair DB
Restart NinjaTrader
Please go to the Tools menu--> select Account Connections and recreate the account connection.
I have provided a link below to our Connection Guide that will assist with recreating your connection. You must have Standalone TWS 892.7 installed. If you have a different version of TWS installed please install the correct version at the link I have provided below.
