Hi,

I'm using the new NT 6 and can't seem to get the Autobreakeven to work. I have ti set to move the position to BE once 10 ticks (YM) is hit. And when 10 ticks of PL are hit on that trade, nothing happens...

Suggestions please?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi JRS:

Thank you for your post.

To setup Auto Breakeven, select 'Custom' from your Stop Strategy dropdown and enter the Auto Break even parameters as per my screen shot.

More information can be found here:

Best regards,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Yep, that is exactly what mine looks like too. Have it setup just like you are showing and I reviewed the video too, to ensure I didn't miss something (which I do sometimes)....

What is the next thing to check?

Thanks!
Jim

Hi Jim:

Connect to our Simulated Datafeed and test the setup. Then, you can control the trend of the market and test this setup much faster than using real-time data.

If your stop loss does not move to break even after 10 ticks in profit, something is wrong with the setup. Can you send me your ATM parameters, include custom stop parameters and profit target and stop loss parameters.

Also, I invite you to attend our free webinar on Advanced Trade Management. It is held regularly on Thursday at Noon EST. You may attend at the link below:

http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/trading_online_events.htm

We can test your setup for you in the webinar if you'd like.

Best regards,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I tried it in the simulator and the again nothing happens. Also, did a cold boot and still same thing. Attached are both files showing the simulator after it hit the first target and the stop still being at the original setting and the stop strategy.

Thanks!
Jim

Hi Jim:

Thanks for sending the screen shots, the pictures really helped.

On your SuperDOM, please select 'Custom' for your Stop Strategy for Target 2, not for Target 1. Select 'None' for your Stop Strategy for Target 1. Your stop strategy parameters are correct.

See attached.

Let me know if this works.

Ryan

Ryan, Soon as I saw your picture I saw what you were getting at. Yes, it works fine now. Thanks for finding my errors! Jim
