Hi Doug13:
Thank you for your post.
If you are connected to the simulated datafeed and open a chart, this will not populate historical data. Only real-time bar data and the first bar will begin from the time you open the chart.
For example if you select a 10 min bar chart, it will take 10 min. prior to the first bar appearing on your chart.

Ryan

I too have this same issue.
I connect to the Simulated data feed, e.g. for YM 09-07.
(I can visually see the bid/ask price changing)
Open a chart for YM - I see the historical data, but no new simulated tick data irrespecitive of how long I wait.
Are there any other chart settings that I need to change.
thx
David

Is the "Last date" in the chart's "Format Data Series" representative of your current system clock date?

thx for the hint; but yes the date is correctly set.
Also I am unable to send e-mails via the SendMail() function in simulated mode, but can send Print() functions to the output window.
Any ideas ???
thx
David

The simulated data feed simulates prices based on the "Sim start price" property per instrument in the Instrument Manager. Make sure this value is the aproximately at the same value as the last trade on your chart.

Resolved this issue yesterday by already implementing what you suggest below.
I also had 'Exclude Weekends' set to 'true'.....which clearly wouldn't help on a Sunday.
thx
