Hi,

I would like to set my charts to a 6 pointfixed range on ER2 in order to keep the angles of my ema's consistent. Is there a way to do this?

Also, my charts come up Pacific time US (I am west coast) can I change them to Eastern time without changing the clock on my computer?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Laura,

NinjaTrader does not support constant range bars at this time. This will be included in our next major development cycle later this year.

We also do not support changing the charting time. It has to use your local PC time.

Hi,
After seeing a more recent post asking for range bars on a chart, I thought I needed to clarify this question as it could have been misinterpreted...

Right now, as far as I can tell, Ninja charts automatically set the range for price scaling. If there is a huge move, you will have more prices on the right side of the chart than if there is a small move. What I would like to do is set it to always be the same - like 12 points (and never have it get smaller or larger than that.)

Is there a way to do this? Or if coming in a future version, around when?

I was concerned my original question was thought to be about range bars which is totally different - sorry for any confusion!

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for clarifying. Currently there is no way to set a fixed y-scale range. I will add this to our list of future features to consider.

Thanks for your response Ray! For me, having a set range for prices is a huge help when judging trendlines, and the angles of moving averages, which is key to some of my set-ups... Hopefully, this will be an easy one to include in the next update...

Thanks again for your time and help!

Hello Ray,

It's a real pleasure to read you again...........................

Concerning the "range bar" option, it would be wonderfull if you could release it at the beginning of september. If yes, a one more subscriber you will get ..........

Thanks for your attention

Kindest regards

Perhaps we could also get a "zooming in" feature also. Currently you guys have implemented a zoom out which lets me click on the bar and pull down to add more price ranges. It would be helpful if I could also click the bar and push up to remove prices from the range. The zooming feature would work quite nicely with a fixed range if we could quickly zoom to the range we would like and have it locked there as we move along the x-axis until further changes.

Thanks for your suggestion. We'll add it to our list.

Ray,

First I think Ninja charts are great.

I hope you will add flexibility to the price scaling functionality as well. Sierra/Esignal do this well. Here's all I would like to see:

1) Have an option to turn price auto-scaling off, and then right-click on the price pane to set your price range in ticks, or right click and drag the price pane to manually set the range.

2) Be able to drag the fixed range up or down by left-clicking on the chart and dragging up or down

3) All while still retaining the ctrl-up/down functionality

Do that I won't need any other charting package!!

We are unable to make a commitment at that point.
