Hi, I'm new to NT. I don't see a few commodities futures products listed on the Instrument manager. e.g. CL, NG, RB .....
Does it mean that i would need to add them manually?
I'm with IB for my real-time data.
Thanks,

Cheers,
JC

Hello JC:

Thank you for your post.

What version of NT did you download? The CL should be available in NT's Master Instrument list.

As per the other instruments, you may add them as new Instruments to the Instrument Manager.

From the Control Center, go to Tools > Instrument and click New. This will open the Instrument Editor and you can enter the contract specifications in the Definitions tab and also enter the symbol mapping in the Misc. tab.

At this moment there are numerous exchanges and contracts available for electronic trading and that number is increasing each month. We are not familiar with all of these exchanges and contracts, but we can help you set it up and point you in the right direction.

Some investigation on your end is required before you add the contract to the Instrument Manager. We encourage you to do the following:

Look up the exchange the contract is trading on

Make sure you get the contract specifications from the exchange

Ensure you are using the correct front month. This information can also be gathered at the exchange.

Best regards,

Ryan

Hi JC:

Thanks for the reply.

The CL contract should be available without having to add in version 6.

Enjoy your day and happy trading.

Regards,

Ryan
