Is it possible to IMPORT a list of stocks (or other instruments) froma .CSV or .XLS or a .TXT file?
If yes, what format does that symbol file need to be so it populates the appropriate vendor specific symbols and tick info
Thanx

Hello,
Thank you for your note.
Yes, you can import a list of stocks from a .txt file. Unfortunately you cannot do this with other instruments.

Many thanx for the link.
Perhaps I was not clear.
The emphasis is on importing but mapping variants of that symbol for different vendors.
Simple example is
Say MSFT
IB has SMART and I would like to use that as exchange, thus would like to know how do I import a symbol which would yield
MSFT|SMART in IB's version of that symbol... I couldn't see a choice of IBSmart in the excange list
Best

Unfortunately defining the exchange is not supported, it only uses the "Default" exchange.
