Hi, was wondering if Ninja can support a TICK chart, i think its a new york stock exchange instrument. On trade station, the symbol is $TICK. Was wondering if Ninja can load same instrument, thanks, Shan

Hello Shan,
Thank you for your post.
Yes, TICK is available within NinjaTrader. Please use the steps I have provided below to add TICK to your Default instrument list.
Control Center
Tools
Instrument Manager
Name: TICK*-->Search
Select TICK-->click the < arrow to add to your Default list
Click OK
^TICK will now be available from your instrument drop down windowI have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over adding and removing instruments from a list.

Thank you for your help, but I tried what you said and when i clicked "search", nothing came up. I am with Mirus if that makes a difference, thanks Shan

Hello Shan,
Unfortunately Zen-Fire/Mirus only provides Futures data. I have provided a link below to the data providers supported by NinjaTrader. This page will go over the types of data they offer as well as the instruments they support.

I am also with Mirus future/Zenfire. What is the cheapest way for me to get the $tick indicator?

omarmalik,
Thank you for your post.
If $TICK data is all you require beyond what Zen-Fire offers currently, your best bet would likely be a data-only provider like BarChart, eSignal, DTN.IQ Feed or (if you're using NinjaTrader 7) Kinetick.
Barchart.com (subscriptions starting at $45/monthly):

IQFeed offers a 7-day free trial for NinjaTrader users.

eSignal promotional rate for NinjaTrader clients:

Chris:
Followed the steps you set out for Shan and now have $TICK as an instrument. One usage for this feature is to use in the YM chart similar to an indicater, same time frame, etc.
Is it possible to depict these two instruments on the same chart? if so can you link me to that part of the Guide that explains the steps?
Thanks!

Hi ntfrog,
Yes, this is possible in V7 which we released yesterday.
We have more info about this in the following link:
