Hi,

We have a computer that has been running Ninja/Zen Fire for a year.

After a forced reboot today it freezes while connecting to Zen Fire.

If I try to connect on another computer it will work with the same credentials.

We need to run the production computer it has all our data, executions, replay files, etc.

Can you assist with debugging? I can send the trace/log files.

Best Regards,

Mark

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your note.

Please remove all Zen-Fire connections, complete the Repair DB step in the previous post, recreate the connections and let me know if the issue persists.

I did that and it did not work, arg.......

I ended up resetting the DB which stinks as we have over 1 year of historical data in it.

I did make a copy of the db before I reset it.

Is there a description of how to mine (extract) the data in the Access file.

Is there a way to merge it back in to the current blank one

What do you suggest for our historical/ongoing reporting?

Thanks....

Mark

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your reply.

Did you make a backup within NinjaTrader? If so you can complete a restore of the backup you created by going to the Control Center-->File-->Utilities-->Restore-->Locate the backup you made-->Click Open

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over creating a Backup and completing a Restore.

Backup:
http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/CreatingABackupArchive.html

Restore:
http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/RestoringABackupArchive.html

If you did not you will need to import the historical data as .txt format. I have provided a link to our Help Guide below that goes over importing historical data.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.
