Downgrading from TWS 894 to 892

1. Do I need to uninstall 894 prior to installing 892?

2. In 894, I have checked "Use/Store Settings on Server" - will my settings, layouts, etc, truly be preserved after downgrading to 892?

3. Must I downgrade to 892 if all I'm going to do is run a single, simple strategy with trade management on a single equity instrument?

lself, yes please use TWS 892.7 with NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.10 as outlined in our IB connection guide - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_interactivebrokers.htm

We would recommend uninstalling / reinstalling - for preserving your customizations done on TWS, please contact IB support.

I am contemplating buying NT license to trade via IB. My question is, if I buy now, would I get free upgrade to NT 7? Also, the post here mentioned downgrade TWS to 892.7, but on IB site, the lowest available version is 896. What is the latest TWS version that NT support? Tks

The post is not current anymore at this time - with NinjaTrader 6.5.1000.12 we support TWS 895.3, downloadable in our connection guide for IB - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_interactivebrokers.htm

We are not planning to increase prices with the arrival of NinjaTrader 7, however if that would change for any reason we'll provide all customers with a notification in advance and existing customers would be be 'grandfathered' in their existing subscription plans, provided it was held continuously.
