Hi,

I have a little problem, which I encounter occasionally.

When I refresh the chart or want to reload data, a little window comes up saying "Loading Data... <whatever instrument name> This request can not be aborted." And then it hangs in there.

The only way I can get rid of this is closing the whole stuff, the whole NinjaTrader application and restart it again. Is there a better way to handle this if it happens?

I use Yahoo data feed.

Thank you in advance.

Hello ktomi,

I suggest to reduce the historical data request in the chart and check if the issue recurs. Right click in the chart and select 'Format Data Series' and reduce the amount of historical data. Reload data and check if the Loading window will hang.

Thanks for the fast reply.

It just hangs occasionally. I include 365 days and wish not to reduce it. Also, to me it does not seem to be related to the amount of data I download, but to the quality of my internet connection at the time.

The post was partly a suggestion for having an option to abort this process of downloading data, because in such cases I don't understand what good is it if I can not abort.

I see, let me know if the issue occurs on a consistent base and provide me a reproducible scenario to test it on my end.

I will forward your suggestion to include an option to abort the pop up window to our development team and ask them if they can add this to the list of future considerations for the software.

Ok, I'll see if it is reproducable.
