I'm trying to use the OCO function to place a bracket entry order.
ie, Sell stop and Buy stop to enter the market if it breaks out of a range.
I'm doing ..
1 - enable OCO
2 - Place 1st leg -- Buy stop above market - This works
3 - Try to place 2nd leg .Sell stop below the market

Get message 'You can't submit an exit order until any of its entry orders are filled'

Hi,

After submitting your first order, you need to change the strategy box to <custom>, enter your parameter settings or the same strategy template you had originally selected and then submit the second order.

Let me know if this works for you.

Yes, That works.

Selecting another strategy seems an odd way to do it.
Seems a bit counter-intuative. To me, .. I'd expect to use the same strategy regardless of how I entered.

Also . . Chart Trader should have a OCO and Simulated Order 'Lights' like the DOM does.

Thank you Zoltran.

We will take this in consideration.

Vincent

I was too hasty with my comment.
I didn't realize I could just re-select the same strategy vs custom.

So i'm the counter-intuative one, not you guys!

Thanks for considering the OCO/SIM 'lights' on the chart trader panel.
It's real easy to forget what you have turned on/off there.
