Hi, I noticed on my chart my bars are ending at a diff. time than on the clock.. I'm connected with IB and if I'm looking at the 5min. bars and a bar should be ending at 9:40 the clock on ib might say 9:40 and 15 sec. or 9:39 and 40 sec. when a new bar starts. Basically they are not in sinc. (sp?) Any reason for this? way to fix ?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Hello Dave:
Thank you for your post.
Are you able to re-produce this?
Try closing the NT chart, disconnect from IB and re-connect and bring up a New Chart.
Does the data sync with IB TWS?

Ryan

Hi Ryan, thanks for the quick reply. I just reopened everything and pulled up a 1 min chart to verify and at first a new candle was being drawn at 11 sec. past a minute then it started getting longer and longer up to 30 secs. or so past a minute until new candle.
Its probably a simple fix any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave

I am not sure I follow.
Minute bars are time stamped at the end of the bar meaning, the 9:31 AM bar is the data between 9:30 and 9:30:59.
There is no second component to the bar itself on minute based intervals.
Bars are built based on incoming data, so if the last tick was at 9:30:55, the 9:31 bar will not close until the next tick comes in. If this is 20 seconds later (9:31:15) then it is at that moment in time when the bar will close and the new one opens.
