I am hoping that the possibilitiy of using VisualStudio to code, debug and test NT applications is a reality. For power users, this is essential.

Your system architecture overview picture

http://www.ninjatrader.com/web/automated_trading_overview.htm

shows the ATI sitting between the NT "engine" and a box labelled "custom applications" that includes VS, .NET and Excel. For myself and other high level users this is the most important feature of NT and should be strenghted and "modernised" (ie O-O using .NET)as much as possible. This means a focus on NT as integratingan open and well documentedAPI, rather than a pre-packaged application. I do believe NT 6 has moved great steps in that direction I want to applaud and encourage.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Basically this is a support bandwith issue. Our primary focus is to properly support the NinjaScript layer (and ATI) for now. Although the API layer already is there we don't feel ourselves in a positoin to support this yet. This may change as we gain more experience on supporting NinjaScript.

Notwithstanding the support bandwidth issue, enabling the ability to develop in Visual Studio makes a lot of sense. Thanks, Oli, for your suggestion and the Ninja team for taking this under consideration.
