Just tested this with the IB paper acct.
- Opened several positions with TWS . outside of NT
- Did not open any position via NT
- Hit flatten all on NT .. and it closed everything !!
I think I read elsewhere on this board that it should not do this.

Wow.. Thats very dangerous. I will need to create an IB account that is only used for NT trading .. the risk is too great otherwise.
Wish I had known this before getting my paid subscription.
Can you please add this to your list of feature rquests
" There should be a Flatten all option that only works on positoons managed by NT. IF NT finds other positions there, it should ask what to do"

Zoltran,
We do offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you feel that the risk of this is to great, that is of course if you are still within the first 30 day period. I will add your request to our list of feature requests for future consideration.

Naw.. I'll keep plugging.
Fwiw, the flaten all function seems to be inconsistant
Just tried it again, and it closed the open (manua) futures trades I had, but not 100 share of bai.un stock

Take a look at the log, likely an IB demo account issue. It does not always work as expected.

Nothing in the log.
And it's IB 'Papertrading' account, not edemo
Tried again, and those 100 shares are still there. But its not a fair test, as mkts are closed. But .. nothing in the log this time either.

NT does not support IB paper trading account.
