Is there a new protocol for the auto login to IBfor Version 6 Beta 8 or do I need to upgrade my standalone TWS? Seemed to work fine under Beta 7 and all account and password info remained in place after upgrade to Beta 8. See attached. Currently using TWS 865.7.

There is no new protocol to Auto-Login to IB. You might want to check TWS and see if it is stillconfigured correctly:

If that doesn't help, try upgrading to TWS 867 and then configure.
