Hi,
Could anyone tell me how to add the SiMSCI futures with the SGX exchange traded with Phillipfutures under the PATS system for ninja?
The symbol Phillip uses is QSG for SiMSCI and exchange is listed as SGXQ, which is not shown in ninja under the instrument manager.
I was told this is traded with the setup above with SGX exchange under instrument manager. i do not know the how????
thanks in advance
best regards

I tried to setup this as a new contarct in the Instrument manager, but gave up when I found that there is no Sing dollar option when setting up the contract specs.
The PATS code for this is SG, but thats little help without the currency availability I guess
I was able to setup the MSCI Taiwan contrct traded on SGX, with an IB connection which worked ok (haven't tried it with PATS (TW) though)

You are right nicko!
Couldnt see the Sing. dollar in the instrument manager.
but
but, someone in Singapore is tradingSiMSCI futures with the ninja and PATS. This is told by Phillipfutures account executive.
He doesnt know who is using, but he is sure, someone is using. He told me, he cant release customer contact also.
I called patsystems-singapore, they cant help too.
So, if ninja can help, that would be good.

Renga,
We will try to set up the contract on our end and then let you know what the settings need to be.
I also sent a note to your personal email address.

Hello Nicko9:
I setup a test connection for this instrument using the Pats datafeed and could not receive data. Can you specify for me which exchange you have checkmarked. Could not see according to your screen shots. I will continue to attempt to establish a succesful connection for this instrument.

Ryan

Hello:
According to our FCM, the specificcontract in question is currently not available to be electronically traded.
This is a limitation of the Patsystems.

Ryan

Ryan,
screenshots are in the two posts below - do you need somethin else?
I'm getting data without problem - can't place orders because I haven't set limits with my broker for this market.

Hello:
A couple of things…
1. There is a discrepancy between the symbol requested from Renga, which is ‘SB’ (according to the screen shot sent to me via email) and the screen shot posted, which is ‘SG’.
2. After attempting to test this symbol unsuccessfully, I contacted our FCM and they do not offer this contract electronically. As per our conversation, they mentioned this was a limitation of the Patsystems.
3. Renga- I would recommend contacting your broker to verify that you cannot get data for this particular contract via Pats. Unfortunately, I cannot further test since this contract is not available to me to receive data.
Best regards,
Ryan

Patsystems does not support historical data. A matrix of the various connectivity provider and there varying levels of market data support can be found here -
http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/HistoricalData.html
You can connect NT simultaneously to another provider that offers historical data.

Could anyone who is using the Phillip Futures PATS system on NinjaTrader help? For the charting, could you get the continuous chart (T and T+1 session) and only T-session chart?
Thank you very much.

Unfortunately Patsystems does not provide historical data at this time within NinjaTrader therefore charts bars will only be built when connected. In order to populate your charts with historical data you would need to connect to a data provider that provides Historical Tick, Minute or Daily data.
If you are looking for a data provider only for real time and historical data I recommend using Kinetick: (Our Preferred Data Feed Service Built Specifically for NinjaTrader 7) which provides historical Tick, Minute and Daily data for Equities, Futures and Forex.
