Hello everyone,

Have any users had success using eSignal On Demand as a historical data source for NT?

The reason I am asking is because I've spent about 6 hours trying to get my eSignal On Demand subscription to work with NT. I am experiencing problems that seem to plague many forum users including:

http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2050

http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/vb/showthread.php?t=595

I have repaired my NT database about 5 times, uninstalled/reinstalled eSignal twice, checked my connection settings in NT about 20 times and followed all of the suggestions in the above posts, but with no success.

I am beginning to think that the problem is with my eSignal subscription. As their "On Demand" service is only End of Day/ Delayed Data, perhaps it's causing some form of problem.

If anyone has managed to have a working connection with the eSignal On Demand product, could you please detail your connection settings -- obviously without your user name and password :)

And of course if anyone has any suggestions beyond those in the posts above, I would certainly be grateful.

If I remember correctly eSignal on demand does not allow to connect any third party application to the data manager. You can check this link for a partner offer concerning eSignals data only service that would easily allow you to connect - http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_esignal.htm

Bertrand,

Thanks for the superfast response! :) I feared as much. It looks like I will have to look into that data-only service.
