Question:

Is it possible to have entered a position manually, then have a programmed trailing stop exit automatically?

Thankyou, Knyyt1

How about the other way around? (position entered automatically via ATIthen set manual STOP order)?

Thanks. One more question. Here's the scenario.

Entered a strategy via ATI. During the course of the trading period, lose connection with server and therefore strategy is not being applied. Is it posible to apply a new strategy to the existing position? (for example say trailing stop at 50EMA?)

I guess my real question is this... Once you're in a position and for some reason lose connection, can you ever re-apply the same strategy(or a new strategy)to manage that existing position? Or do you simply, (once connection is lost)manage an open position via "ChartTrader/SuperDOM'?

I just want to make sure I understand this.

Thanks,

Steve

If you are referring to an ASM strategy initiated via the ATI, on temporary loss of connection or on disconnect/reconnect, the strategy is recovered and still working providedthat the orders it managed are still in the same state on disconnect. If an order is filledwhile disconnected, then the stratgey will not recover.

You can not reapply a strategy to protect an open position.
