I am trying to obtain this software but nobody from Remotesoft is responding to me. Is there a phone number where I can reach them? I've emailed info, sales, and support@remotesoft.com.

I just got a mail from the vendor who asks you to re-send your mail(s). He had issues with his mail provider. Thanks

In order to protect my code and following the NinjaTrader's recommendations, I am trying to obtain the Salamander.NET Protector from RemoteSoft, but nobody is responding to me. I am writing to info@remotesoft.com.
Do you know if there is another way to contact them ?
Thanks very much.

Dierk,
Does the Salamandar .Net Protector checkout with NT7? Will an upgrade to the remotesoft product be required to protect NT7 code?
Thanks,
Whitmark

NT7 uses the latest version of .NET protector.

You would need to contact the vendor by yourself.

Does anybody else know of a different way to obfuscate their indicator exports? I purchased Remotesoft's Protector for NT but the installation keeps failing and I can't get any response from them about what to do. It seems like Remotesoft is not a company, rather, it's some guy working out of his dorm and he is not very customer-responsive at all. Are there any other vendors we can use here?

I'm not aware of a viable alternative.

Well, I finally got a response on my installation problem. If you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7 you have to turn off UAC for the install to work. Once I did that everything was fine. I compiled some indicators then used RedGate's Reflector to decompile the indicator's DLL and everything was hidden as expected.

Here is the latest:
- a couple of days ago I got Protector V4 from the RemoteSoft
- it protects 32bit and 64bit as expected
- this version is integrated in latest NT7B10
I suggest contacting RemoteSoft to upgrade to that version.

That is nice to know Dierk, what is the problem? As for me, I sent an email on Thursday, Remotesoft responded with answers to my questions and the order form on Friday. I responded with another question and got the answer today, and ordered. Now I am here seeing there is a problem, so briefly what is it?

Unfortunately, I don't know the details as we are not the builder of Protector. We experienced some occasional issues on XML serialization which RemoteSoft wanted to address. RemoteSoft granted free updates for recent V4 purchases.

Has anyone found a more economical protector? The salamandar product is $1800 or is it cheaper for NT users? I don't want to pay that much.

cunparis, yes there's a special NT user deal available - http://www.ninjatrader-support.com/HelpGuideV6/SecureDistribution.html

To obfuscate your code you only need the $299 version, offered at the bottom of this page (http://www.remotesoft.com/order-nt-299.html). You don't need the full $1,800 suite.

Hey, is this the usual way to get in contact with the company "remotesoft" I purchased a product of 1900$ and are even interested in paying again for the latest version?
I guess not!
We tried contacting them by about 6 mails now. We sent these to:
'huisinro@stanfordalumni.org'
'support@remotesoft.com'
'info@remotesoft.com'
'service@remotesoft.com'
No response at all, although the first contact was in april. So I don't believe in provider problems.
What is that!? I would like to get a statement for that cause I wont buy anything if I have nobody to talk to.
No need to earn more money...? Extremely unsatisfactory situation!

Hi SHP-HS,
What version of RemoteSoft do you currently own? The latest supported version that works with NinjaTrader is v3.1, not v4.
Also, if you could send us your contact information we can forward that along to RemoteSoft for you to see if that will help.

Thanks for your response and sorry for my delay!
Well we own Salamander Protector/Obfuscator v3.
We have a "problem" with the upcoming service pack 1 of win7. Our software is just not running any more. Win 7 without SP1 was no problem!?
Due to the fact that Win7 isn't supported by Salamander v3 I guess we need to buy v4.
But I want to know if there is a evaluation version or if we can send the software again to you and you return it protected to let us have a try with win7 PS1.
Can you help us?

Here's what I do: Use VMWare to make a VM with whatever operating system you want/need. Use that to package up your indicators. You can use Windows 7 without service pack (that's what I use) or Windows XP. Works great.

Ok thanks… mail has left and should arrive in a few minutes.
@cunparis: I still have such a VM but what shall I do with it? I mean the software is not only for me. So I cannot tell 10000 customers to use a virtual machine ;)
cunparis

The salamandar protector is only for the packaging. Your customers don't need to use VMWare.
This is how I package my indicator. I have a VM for packaging and a few VMs for testing with Ninja 6.5 & 7.0. It's very useful.

Hi,
I've gone to the purchase page, at http://www.remotesoft.com/order-nt-299.html , clicked on the link to purchase Salamander .NET Protector NinjaTrader Edition (single developer license) .
Apart from being a very peculiar and cryptic purchase page, it doesn't allow you to fill in anything in the 'Account Data:' box.
Have they blocked the further purchase of this product?
Thanks

Hi,
I have purchased the NinjaTrader Protector from Remotesoft but all I have received is a paypal receipt number.
What is required for me to activate the code protect functionality when I export assemblies?
Thanks

Forget about Remotesoft, Ninjatrader has a new partner (SecureTeam) for obfuscating your indicators and strategies. You can apply for their software at

as Shodson said, CliSececure seems the only option currently, and its free :).
dont think Remotesoft will be compatible with the new versions of NT. Even full version of CliSecure seems to have issues. I tried .Net Reactor at my end which didnt worked.

You should phone Hui Hong for that matter ( on US West coast) , finally you will get him.
Asking others is basically a request to give you acess to an unlicensed ( pirated) copy. Nobody will do as the licencee email is contained in the license to run the protector.
